Speed limits
- 5 MPH within 200 feet of shore, docks and swimmers
- 5 MPH within 1,200 feet on each side of the Route 9P bridge
- 45 MPH during the day, 25 MPH at night
Safety rules
- Children under 12 must wear a life jacket
- From Nov 1 to May 1, everyone on boats under 21 feet must wear a life jacket
- As of 2025, all boat operators need a boater safety certificate
